The Lake Toba Super Volcanic Eruption is notorious for being one of the largest volcanic eruptions to have occurred in recent geological history. Lake Toba's Supervolcano is still very much alive today. 70-75,000 years ago the Lake Toba Supervolcano erupted with a force that was unlike any volcanic eruption to have occurred in modern history. It is the second largest Supervolcano eruption that humans have discovered on Earth thus far, and is the Largest Mega Eruption & Supervolcano that humans have survived through. Its Mega Eruption caused Earth shattering consequences, leading to the development of a theory that it might've almost completely eradicated the human species from existence, and that, as a result of Lake Toba's mega eruption, between 3000 to 10,000 pairs of humans existed.

In this video we will document the massive mega eruption caused by the Lake Toba Super volcano of Sumatra in Indonesia, and we will look into the many intricate details of the eruption, as well as why this supervolcano exists to begin with.

The Lake Toba Supervolcano is very interesting purely because of how large the eruption was, with it possibly being attributed it's own magnitude scale in the Volcanic Explosivity Index, which normally stops at a magnitude of 8, which essentially means the volcanic eruption has released over 1000 cubic kilometers of material. Lake Toba on the other hand, has some scientists drawing estimated of over 13,000 cubic kilometers of material being released, and this fact has some scientists referring to this eruption as Volcanic explosivity index of 9 due to how extremely large and powerful it was.
