Padua, located in Italy’s northeastern Veneto region, was hit on August 1 by a powerful supercell storm bringing hail and strong winds that caused extensive damage. Agricultural land in areas such as Piazzola sul Brenta, Grantorto, San Pietro di Gu, Saonara, Legnaro, Polverara, and Casalserugo was largely destroyed. In the city center, roads were flooded and daily life in many neighborhoods was severely disrupted.
