A new U.S. study confirms that for those who've already suffered a heart attack or stroke, taking Aspirin every day can reduce the chances of a subsequent episode.

The study by Washington University School of Medicine and University of Michigan also points out that despite Aspirin's low cost and clear benefits in such scenarios, fewer than half of the worldwide population who have had a heart attack or stroke take the medication.
