The new platform at JR Osaka Station opened on Mar.18, 2023.
Until now, access to Kansai International Airport via the limited express Haruka had to be via Shin-Osaka, but now the limited express Haruka stops at the newly built underground platform at Osaka Station, directly connecting Osaka Station to Kansai International Airport.
The ride time is 47 minutes, about 20 minutes less than the Kanku Rapid Train.
I immediately boarded the limited express Haruka from the Umekita Underground Exit, which is also a hot spot for the face recognition ticket gate.

After the fare revision, one-way adult fare is now 2,940 yen and one-way child fare is 1,460 yen during the regular season. The normal fare is +200 yen during peak season, -200 yen during off-peak season, and +400 yen during peak season.
